PS Ferries Privacy Policy

Effective July 23, 2026

PS Ferries is designed so that your personal information stays on your device. We don't collect it, store it, sell it, or share it... because we never receive it in the first place.

What we don't do

- No accounts or sign-ins
- No analytics or tracking of any kind
- No advertising
- No collection of personal information, ever

Location

If you grant location permission, PS Ferries uses your location entirely on your device to sort ferry routes by how close their terminals are to you and to estimate your drive time to the terminal. Your location is never transmitted off your device, and never shared with us or anyone else. The app works fine if you decline location access.

Calendar

If you use "Add to Calendar," the sailing details are handed to your device's calendar through the standard iOS system dialog. The app doesn't read your calendar or store anything from it.

Ferry data

Schedules, fares, vessel positions, traffic, and camera images come from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) public APIs. When the app fetches this data, your device makes standard internet requests to WSDOT's servers, which are governed by WSDOT's own policies. These requests don't include your location or any personal information. Maps are displayed using Apple Maps, subject to Apple's privacy policy.

Data stored on your device

The app saves small bits of app state (like which route you last viewed and cached schedule data) locally on your device only. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Children

PS Ferries doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
